Greeting Fellow Wisconsin Healey Members,
The rest of the worldwide Healey community is envious of each and every one of you. Why is that you ask? It's because you are all fortunate to have the most significant Healey event in decades, possibly ever, in your own backyard. Let me explain... Your fellow club members, Bernie Evans, John Seaman, Jim Swernoff, Ken Sierszen, and I have been working tirelessly to bring an incredible Conclave week back to Wisconsin. For those of you that have experienced attending a Conclave in the past, we will have all of the usual conclave events on tap. We are adding Road America to our schedule as the gymkhana, funkhana, and a track touring event will be held at the track. We are also having a reenactment tour of the original 6-1/2-mile open road course that put Elkhart Lake on the map as a racing destination. This tour will be led by the Healey Silverstone that was driven by the man that is credited with organizing the first open road races, Jim Kimberly. If that's not enough, we have also joined forces with the folks from the Vintage Sportscar Drivers Association (VSCDA). In a nutshell, the race weekend is being billed as "The Healey World Challenge" and the feature marque for the weekend is "The Cars of Donald Healey". We didn't limit this to just Austin Healey's because we wanted to welcome all Healey enthusiasts. Every Healey owner is a V.I.P. for the weekend proceeding Conclave. So, the race weekend is scheduled for September 13-15th and Conclave officially starts the evening of Sunday the 15th and runs through Thursday the 19th. Conclave registrants will be able to purchase discount tickets to Road America for the race weekend. Additionally, you will get paddock parking passes so that you can all display your car in the Healey Showcase parking area across from victory circle. Passes for track touring in front of all of the race spectators will also be available. On top of that, there will be a banquet on Saturday night at the track with a Healey related speaker. Tickets for this event will need to be purchased on the VSCDA website once they are made available. Word has spread quickly about this week-of-all-things-Healey even before it was initially launched, and I have been contacted by many folks from both the states and from abroad about our event. Everyone is very excited about the opportunity to race on one of the world's premier racecourses and then attend North Americas largest Healey event. This week will be a can't miss, bucket list event!!! Registration is now open so secure your spot today by visiting our website at 2024conclave.com!! Please don't delay as rooms at the host hotel are limited and I want you all to be at the center of all of the fun! If any of you remember the 1990 Healey Challenge Series or the 2005 Australian / U.S. Healey Challenge, this week has the makings to be even bigger and more memorable. The worldwide Healey community has taken notice and is making plans of their own to make the trip to join us all. Be part of this history making event and make your plan to attend today!! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Cheers,
Mike Swanger
